FALL-FUN-FAIRS-FESTIVALS-FOOTBALL

98-32459127420765101135_963022  Each fall the fun level for listening  to WLIK increases ten fold with lots of fun at the fairs – a season for the community harvest festivals and lots of FOOTBALL–

WLIK IS YOUR SOURCE FOR HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE FOOTBALL.

 

 Each weekend we kick it off on Friday afternoon at 5:00 with “Fumblin’ Around” a whimsical look at the weekend of football games coming up each weekend with Rick Brooks and his cast of characters.  It’s followed by a look around high school football in East Tennessee from the Tennessee Radio Network at 6:15 – at 6:30 it’s the Cocke County High School “Coaches Corner” with head coach Casey Kelly.  Then at 6:45 we go live to the stadium for the Cocke County High School game of the week.  Then following the game, Brian Evans will talk with Coach Kelly and that’s followed by high school football scores around East Tennessee until 11:00 p.m.

On Saturday we start at 6:05 a.m. with another recap of the Friday night scores.  At 10:00 a.m.  the Cosby High School Game of the Week.  A re-broadcast of the Friday night Cosby game with Steve Souder.

Then the remainder of Saturdays feature the University of  Tennessee Volunteers.  WLIK  joins the Vol Network with Bob Keasling for an unprecedented seven hours of coverage of the Vols with Coach Lane Kiffin.  Check the schedule – start time vary each week.

On Monday Mornings listen to “Cocke County High School Player of the Week” at 8:00 a.m.   Monday’s at 8:00 p.m. WLIK features “Vol Calls”.  It’s an hour long call-in show with Bob Kesling on the Vol Radio Network and on Thursday at 8:00 listen for “Big Oragne” Countdown”.  This is another call-in show from the Vol Network with the players to get you ready for the game coming up on Saturday.

Then each Tuesday evening at 7:00 we go live to the Sagebrush Steak House for the Sagebrush Pigskin Party – The fans – cheerleaders and players from both Cosby and Cocke County High School gather to talk football with Head Coach Tyler Shelton from Cosby and Casey Kelley from Cocke County High School.  Sagebrush has special offers on food.  So come out and join us.
