Angie Wilkerson

Angie is a native Cocke Countian. Angie is a newcomer to the actual work in radio although she has been around WLIK all her life. Angie has been the voice of WLIK’s popular “Swap and Shop” program as well as coordinating the “on air” programming. Angie will be happy to help you plan your advertising program as well. Angie is a music collector as well as a four-wheeler enthusiast.

Rick Brooks

Rick Brooks, a native of Hamblen County, Tennessee. Rick began his braodcasting career in Cordele, GA. in 1972 on WMJM and WFAV radio, an AM-FM combo, as a mid morning jock and newsman. He joined the Air Force in 1974 and worked with the American Forces Radio and Television Service for four years, mainly at AFN Europe headquaters in Frankfurt, Germany. There, he was an anchor for Sports coverage on AFN Europe.

Returning to civilian life in 1978, Brooks worked for radio stations in Kingsport WGOC and WKPT/WTFM, as well as WJCW/WQUT while earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Braodcasting/Mass Communications from East Tennessee State University. Working at WKPT TV in Kingsport following his graduation, Brooks was a TV News Anchor and Assignment Editor.

In 1985, he made his jump back to radio in Morristown, Tennessee as News and Sports Director at WCRK Radio where he won over 35 First Place News and Sports Awards from the Associated Press. Brooks is currently News Director for WLIK Radio, 1270 in Newport, Tennessee.He also is the sign-on Announcer and enjoys the comraderie he has developed over the past four years with his many listeners. WLIK was named as “Favorite radio station in Newportin 2007 and 2008″ by readers of the Newport Plain Talk.

Erika Fullington

Erika is a native of Cocke County. She is a senior at Cocke County High School. Erika is also a proud member of the Cocke County NJROTC unit. She has been an active member for three years. Erika is currently the commanding officer. She has worked at WLIK since March 2008.
